Downloading books as EPUBs

Books from your digital library open in your browser by default. You can also choose to read them in the EPUB format, which is available for most books.

To download an EPUB, select Open title actions menu on the title card of a book you've recently opened, then select Download EPUB.

Note: If the EPUB format is available, the download option may not appear until after you've opened the book in your browser.

Reminders

  • To read EPUBs, you need software capable of opening files protected by DRM (e.g., Adobe Digital Editions).
  • If you're reading a book both in your browser and as a downloaded EPUB, reading progress doesn't sync between the two formats.
  • You can't make annotations and highlights in EPUBs.
  • Books available in the EPUB format may include publisher-provided content accessibility statements on the title details page (in the Details section). The statement may include supported reading methods, accessibility conformance details, or a summary. If a statement isn't available, you'll see "No publisher statement provided."
