Placing holds

Some titles in the LexisNexis Digital Library have limited copies and lending periods. If all copies are in use, you can place it on hold:

1. Select Place hold on the title card.
2. Enter your email address.
3. Select Place hold.

You can review your current holds under My books > Holds.

When your hold is ready to borrow:

1. You'll receive an email notification and have 72 hours to borrow it.
2. If you miss the pickup window, you'll remain on the title's wait list for another 7 days as a courtesy.
   Note: If you're the only one on the wait list, another user may borrow the title during those 7 days. If that happens, you'll also need to wait until that user's loan on the title expires.
3. You'll receive another email notification when the hold is available again. As before, you'll have 72 hours to borrow it.
4. If you miss the second pickup window, your hold will be canceled.
