Using keyboard shortcuts in books and audiobooks
Use keyboard shortcuts while reading or listening to view your annotations, open the settings menu, and more.
To open the shortcuts menu while reading or listening, press Shift + /. To use a shortcut, press its keys at the same time.
Note: Shift is the default modifier key for most keyboard shortcuts. You can add another modifier key in the shortcuts menu.
Reading books
- Next chapter: Shift + .
- Previous chapter: Shift + ,
- Toggle highlight mode: Shift + H
- Enter screen reader mode: Shift + '
- Change display settings: Shift + S
- Toggle fullscreen: Shift + F
- 1- or 2-page display: Shift + 1 or Shift + 2
- Next or previous page: Right arrow or Left arrow
- My annotations: Shift + A
- Open table of contents: Shift + C
- Find within title: Ctrl or Command + F
- Show title info: Shift + I
- Show recent activity: Shift + R
- Open dictionary: Shift + D
- Print chapter: Ctrl or Command + P
- Next chapter: Shift + Page Down
- Previous chapter: Shift + Page Up
- Enter screen reader mode: Shift + V
- Next page: Page Down or Space
- Previous page: Page Up or Shift + Space
Listening to audiobooks
- Play/pause: Space
- Next chapter: Shift + .

- Adjust playback speed: Shift + S
- Set sleep timer: Shift + T
- Advance or rewind 15s: Right arrow or Left arrow
- My annotations: Shift + A
- Create custom clip: Shift + H
